On April 6, 2012, Hilong Anti-corrosion and Zhejiang Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals Co., Ltd. signed 212 km long dual-phase stainless steel 3PP coating contract for PDO project, the coating area is about 150,000 sqm.
PDO (Petroleum Development Oman) is a large corporation in Muscat, Oman, specializing in prospecting and production of petrol and natural gas, it accounts for more than 80% of crude oil production, as well as nearly all natural gas supply in the country.
PDO project spanned a period of 7 months from discussion of intention, audit acceptance, and passing audit till signing final contract. In order to pass PDO’s audit accreditation, Hilong Anti-corrosion made full preparations in both software and hardware aspects, further improved system documents and various QA/QC files and ensure their adequate execution, meanwhile it also intensified efforts in equipment investment and improvement, such as independent design of sand-bath cathode stripping testing machine, which is the first of its kind in domestic industry; it also improved high temperature indentation hardness tester to ensure testing temperature to reach the project’s requirement of 110℃; it also improved cooling technique, and improved exterior quality of the anti-corrosion layer.
Hilong Anti-corrosion this time successfully passed PDO audit and accreditation to become the first, and the only existing PDO qualified anti-corrosion service provider in China, this holds great significance for Hilong Anti-corrosion in product innovation, technology improvement, quality control and product popularization in the Middle East market.
